Yash Chopra’s comeback directorial venture promised to be an old-fashioned romance. And though there were reports about the filmmaker’s son Aditya lending him a helping hand when it came to the more intimate scenes, we chanced upon a few pictures from the sets in London where the senior Chopra was seen tackling a romantic sequence between Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif, all by himself.
A quick call to our source from the sets of the film in London revealed more about the day's shoot. “We shot the sequence at 19 Short Gardens, Covent Garden on Friday. It is a street bustling with activity, but they cleared the area for the shoot. Shah Rukh is very popular here and so is Katrina.
They did not want the crowd to hamper the schedule,” said the source.
“Shooting the intimate sequence, Yashji got too emotional. When he saw the shot on the monitor, he got all nostalgic. As for Shah Rukh and Katrina, they looked very good together,” the source told us.
Anushka Sharma, who had joined the team a few weeks back, was, however, not a part of the shoot. “We shot Anushka and Shah Rukh’s scenes earlier near Embankment and the Thames river. Katrina joined later since she was tied up with an awards function. She spent some time with her sisters in London before joining Shah Rukh and the crew,” added our source.
Meanwhile, the crew had lost a couple of days to the unpredictable London rains. But once the skies cleared, the crew got busy with their schedule that is supposed to go on for another few weeks.
